Love quotes

“Only once in your life, I truly believe, you find someone who can completely turn your world around. You tell them things that you’ve never shared with another soul and they absorb everything you say and actually want to hear more. You share hopes for the future, dreams that will never come true, goals that were never achieved and the many disappointments life has thrown at you. When something wonderful happens, you can’t wait to tell them about it, knowing they will share in your excitement. They are not embarrassed to cry with you when you are hurting or laugh with you when you make a fool of yourself. Never do they hurt your feelings or make you feel like you are not good enough, but rather they build you up and show you the things about yourself that make you special and even beautiful. There is never any pressure, jealousy or competition but only a quiet calmness when they are around. You can be yourself and not worry about what they will think of you because they love you for who you are. The things that seem insignificant to most people such as a note, song or walk become invaluable treasures kept safe in your heart to cherish forever. Memories of your childhood come back and are so clear and vivid it’s like being young again. Colours seem brighter and more brilliant. Laughter seems part of daily life where before it was infrequent or didn’t exist at all. A phone call or two during the day helps to get you through a long day’s work and always brings a smile to your face. In their presence, there’s no need for continuous conversation, but you find you’re quite content in just having them nearby. Things that never interested you before become fascinating because you know they are important to this person who is so special to you. You think of this person on every occasion and in everything you do. Simple things bring them to mind like a pale blue sky, gentle wind or even a storm cloud on the horizon. You open your heart knowing that there’s a chance it may be broken one day and in opening your heart, you experience a love and joy that you never dreamed possible. You find that being vulnerable is the only way to allow your heart to feel true pleasure that’s so real it scares you. You find strength in knowing you have a true friend and possibly a soul mate who will remain loyal to the end. Life seems completely different, exciting and worthwhile. Your only hope and security is in knowing that they are a part of your life.”
Bob Marley

Happy Good Friday!

All the great groups that stood about the Cross represent in one way or another the great historical truth of the time; that the world could not save itself. Man could do no more. Rome and Jerusalem and Athens and everything else were going down like a sea turned into a slow cataract. Externally indeed the ancient world was still at its strongest; it is always at that moment that the inmost weakness begins. But in order to understand that weakness we must repeat what has been said more than once; that it was not the weakness of a thing originally weak. It was emphatically the strength of the world that was turned to weakness and the wisdom of the world that was turned to folly.

In this story of Good Friday it is the best things in the world that are at their worst. That is what really shows us the world at its worst. It was, for instance, the priests of a true monotheism and the soldiers of an international civilisation. Rome, the legend, founded upon fallen Troy and triumphant over fallen Carthage, had stood for a heroism which was the nearest that any pagan ever came to chivalry. Rome had defended the household gods and the human decencies against the ogres of Africa and the hermaphrodite monstrosities of Greece. But in the lightning flash of this incident, we see great Rome, the imperial republic, going downward under her Lucretian doom. Scepticism has eaten away even the confident sanity of the conquerors of the world. He who is enthroned to say what is justice can only ask:

‘What is truth?’ So in that drama which decided the whole fate of antiquity, one of the central figures is fixed in what seems the reverse of his true role. Rome was almost another name for responsibility. Yet he stands for ever as a sort of rocking statue of the irresponsible. Man could do no more. Even the practical had become the impracticable. Standing between the pillars of his own judgement-seat, a Roman had washed his hands of the world.”

Yummy Halo Halo

Halo-halo (from Tagalog word halò, "mix") is a popular Filipino dessert that is a mixture of shaved ice and evaporated milk to which are added various boiled sweet beans and fruits, and served in a tall glass or bowl.
Ingredients include boiled kidney beans, garbanzos, sugar palm fruit (kaong), coconut sport (macapuno), and plantains caramelized in sugar, jackfruit (langkâ), gulaman, tapioca, nata de coco, sweet potato (kamote), cheese, pounded crushed young rice (pinipig). In terms of arrangement, most of the ingredients (fruits, beans, and other sweets) are first placed inside the tall glass, followed by the shaved ice. This is then sprinkled with sugar, and topped with either (or a combination of) leche flan, purple yam (ubeng pula), or ice cream. Evaporated milk is poured into the mixture upon serving.

Being a CNA

We all understand that until and unless we acquired skills through training, accomplishing a task is a far-distant dream. When it is a nursing job, you can imagine the importance of CNA skills training in the life of a nurse. CNA skills will help them to provide nursing care to patients. A good nursing assistant should have the following skills:

Moving Patients
CNAs have to lift and move patients from time to time. You have to lift them, shift to a wheelchair and take them to the dining hall, operation theater, and testing. You need to do the shifting process even while changing linen. Since patients are already weak, you have to do this work very cautiously so that you do not add any injuries to them and yourself

Hygiene
Patients are not able to perform basic tasks on their own. CNAs should know to brush their hair and teeth, bathe them, clean their hands, and assist them with toileting. It is also necessary to feed patients if they cannot manage it themselves. Besides hygiene, they have to maintain the ward clean and dry.

Working with medical instruments
CNAs have to monitor patients’ conditions. Taking vitals such as temperature, blood pressure, body-sugar level and heartbeat rate are the important CNA job skills. All these necessary details are checked with traditional and modern medical equipments. CNAs should have the skills to use both such instruments since patients’ treatments start after reading the vitals.

Taking and Maintaining Records
CNA job skills should also include recording and maintaining medical information. They should learn how to talk to patients and ask them to provide details about their medical histories. The compiled information is then looked by the doctors, which is the base or source of treatment.

These are few of the important CNA job skills necessary to be with the patients and provide care. The training course they take prepares them to do the job with total precision, patience and accuracy.

E-books and Digital Books, what now?!

E books and digital books are gaining momentum. Universities are “embracing” the digital textbook and the majority of these Universities are upper echelon institutions whose student body can afford to take the risk of using a piece of technology that can possibly fail mechanically or the school can afford to provide the technology to the student body. The majority of higher education enrollment in the U.S. can be found in the Community College sector, the students who attend these institutions are less likely to use the digital media based on the financial reasons alone. The fact is, e-books are just as over priced as textbooks and coupled with the cost of either having to purchase a laptop or a digital reader the Community College student just isn’t going to jump at this technology due to lack of funds.

Save Your Way Through College

by: Guest Post

As tuitions rise and state governments continue to cut budgets for higher education, seeing your way through college is becoming more and more challenging. You can either spend less or make more, preferably both. Here are some suggestions you might want to take a look at.
Spend Less
  • Choose the right college and major – Tuition fees take the biggest bite out of a college student’s budget. PayScale 2012 rankings show big differences between private and public schools, as well as learning institutions by state. For instance, a Liberal Arts education at Lewis & Clark College (private) can cost you over $189,000 while one at Northern State University (public) will set you back by only $95,000 even if you’re out-of-state.
  • Look for grants and scholarships – Fill out a Free Application for Federal Student Aid at your school. Many colleges offer grants based on a student’s merit and need. Find out about institutional scholarships available at your university. Surf the web for government scholarships or contact organizations involved in your major field of study for third-party scholarships.
  • Stick to federal loans – If you must take out a loan, avail of the lower interest rates of federal loans. They have easier repayment terms and some are interest-free as long as you’re enrolled.
  • Rent textbooks or buy used ones – Textbooks and school supplies are another major item in a college budget. For both printed or ebooks, rent instead of buying. If you must buy, look for used books in college bookstores or over the internet. Keep the books you bought in good condition and sell them after you’re finished.
  • Be a smart shopper – Food bills can eat up a lot of the budget. Look for bargains and discounts; make use of coupons and choose fresh foods over packaged items. Eat out during “happy hour”.
  • Get student discounts from sites such as StudentsAdvantage.com. Save money on food, travel, school supplies and more.
  • When you’re in the need for clothes, second hand shops, thrift stores and even yard sales can be a gold mine.
  • Live rent free – If you can live at home with your parents or relatives rent free, by all means you should do so. An alternative for rent free accommodation is to find a house sitting job. House sitting is where home owners planning a trip or vacation, engage someone to live in and take care of their property and pets.
Make more
  • Get paid for freelance writing. Sign up at sites like CollegeCopywriters.com where you can select writing assignments that match your skills.
  • If you have special skills like fixing computers, repairing gadgets or even cars, earn extra income by putting your skills to work.
  • Be a tutor. If Maths, Science or English is your strength, you can earn money tutoring students who need help.
  • Find a part-time job – Use your spare time to work as a waiter, messenger, guitar player or whatever is available. One good way is to get a house sitting job which not only provides rent free accommodation but also pays for maintaining the property.

Resume....Resume....Resume....

You don’t need to be told that the job market is tough for new grads. You probably have friends looking for work or you may be looking yourself. The pressure to obtain full-time employment is powerful and can tempt those struggling to turn to less than savory means to distinguish themselves as job applicants. The phrase “resume padding” might sound harmless, but make no mistake in thinking it means anything other than “lying”. Calling a day of volunteering a semester’s worth of volunteer work? Changing your old job title from “representative” to “supervisor”? Those are lies.
You might think that a resume lie can only hurt you in the short term and that if you can just get your foot in the door and “fake it till you make it” you’ll be able to put the lie behind you. The integrity of your resume, however, has repercussions that extend far beyond any one job application or interview. Your resume is your first “introduction” to a potential employer and so it sets the tone for the impression you make. Ultimately, your resume is the foundation of your employability and as such you can’t afford to have any cracks in it.

Here are five ways resumes lies can hurt you:

1. Lies create more work for you
Lies typically require you to tell more lies to support them. If you fabricate a job title and put down “supervisor” what are you going to tell an employer when they ask about your supervising experience? More lies. With each additional fabrication your deceit becomes more difficult to maintain and it increases the chances you’ll get caught. Just look at the recent case of chemist Annie Dookhan: an initial resume lie about her education spiraled out of control as her web of deceit grew over the years in attempt to support the false identity she had created for herself.

2. There’s a good chance you’ll get caught
Employers can afford to be picky in today’s competitive environment – for every job opening there are hundreds of applicants waiting to fill it. If you make it to the final rounds of an interview you will face a high level of scrutiny. Your references will get called and an employer may even seek to independently verify your work and education history through a company like Virtrue. The Internet has made the world a much smaller place and it’s never been easier for employers to spot applicant lies with a little bit of online research.

3. A single lie can torpedo your career down the road
As the saying goes, trust takes years to build, seconds to break, and forever to repair. A resume lie can instantly break that trust in the workplace, no matter when or where you told the lie. Former Yahoo! CEO Scott Thompson learned this lesson the hard way after the company fired him when they learned that he never received a computer science degree (as he had claimed for years at various companies). Decades of solid, proven job performance and promotions can be instantly undone by the discovery of a single lie in your resume, past or present.

4. Lies create unrealistic employer expectations
Employers hire applicants based on their skills and experiences with the expectation that they will perform at equivalent levels. Claiming skills or proficiencies on your resume that you don’t actually possess sets you up for failure in the workplace. If you’re hired, your overall performance will suffer as you try to learn these skills on the fly, not to mention it will be painfully clear to your new employer that you’re not cut out for the job.

5. Lies can cost you references
Personal references are often one of your biggest assets as a job applicant, especially if they can introduce you to a potential employer. Jeopardizing the trust your personal references have placed in you by lying on your resume is doubly foolish: it can not only cost you the job, but it can cost you your reference as well, making it even more difficult to land that next job.
We know it’s tough out there, but we urge you to steer clear of padding your resume. A lie on your resume can reverberate well beyond any single job application and set you up for professional failure in the long term. Instead of weakening the foundation of your employability with lies, try strengthening it with real experience. If you don’t have a needed skill for a job then take a class or online course or teach yourself. If you don’t have relevant experience then do an internship or volunteer work on the side. Showing initiative and a desire to improve yourself as a job candidate will set you apart as an applicant. Good luck!

Oh, LOVE is in the air!

On Valentine's Day, the town is painted red -- balloons, stickers, cupcakes, you name it. Shops overflow with red dresses, red roses, and red handbags. You see lovers walking hand in hand, basking in new love. Clubs, discos and other favorite hangouts are teeming with young couples, looking for a moment of togetherness. Then again, couples in love need not be young or drop dead gorgeous. Valentine's Day looks beyond differences, and celebrates love in all its avatars. Pablo Picasso declared, "Love is the greatest refreshment in life." This Valentine's Day quote is a splendid argument in favor of the annual day of romance.

Say "I Love You" Before It is Too Late Have you been secretly in love with a cute boy at school? Do you want to say, "I love you" to a special girl at work? Don't bottle your feelings. Make the move on Valentine's Day. Keeping your feelings to yourself will get you nowhere. The secret admirer always loses out to the outspoken lover. If you are too shy to put your infatuation into words, this collection of Valentine's Day quotes will help. Get out of your comfort zone. Use an ultra-romantic quote to woo the person of your dreams. Try this one by Claudia Ghandi, "If I had a single flower for every time I think about you, I could walk forever in my garden." Die-hard romantics will adore this one.

Don't Forget to Wish Your Sweetheart Happy Valentine's Day Each year on Valentine's Day, many couples end up in verbal battles because one partner forgets all about Valentine's Day. Naturally, the peeved partner feels upset and hurt. Do you often give Valentine's Day a miss? Do you generally look sheepish when your spouse gifts you something wonderful, and all you have to offer is a grocery bag? Make a promise to remember V-Day this year. Highlight it on your planner. Put a reminder on your phone. Ask a friend to give you a timely nudge.

Shower Your Dearest With Gifts and Sweet Words Better yet, buy Valentine's Day gifts in advance. If you still end up forgetting, make it up to your partner. Muster up your romantic gene. Cook a romantic dinner. Plan an intimate getaway. Bring the guitar out of retirement, and serenade your partner with Aerosmith's "Falling in love is so hard on the knees." Maybe even use some extra-mushy love quotes, or write a love letter.

Appreciate Friends and Family The Valentine's Day story is closely associated with romantic love. However, the day of love is also an opportunity to appreciate friends and family. While you are looking at Valentine's Day messages and cards for your lover, pick up a few for your near and dear ones too. Express your love to the people who are always there for you, ready to share your joys and sorrows. They are always pushing you to greater heights. A quote by German thinker Johann Wolfgang von Goethe deserves special mention here. He said, "Love does not dominate; it cultivates." You will find many more such insightful Valentine's Day quotes for friends in my pages.

Spread the Love Even if Cupid's arrow has not yet struck, spread the message of love. One of my favorite love quotations is, "Love means nothing in tennis, but it's everything in life." Nevertheless, not having a significant other is not the end of the world. Think about all the other wonderful people in your life – friends, family, colleagues, teachers. If geographical distance separates you, send a text message, or take the e-card route. Better yet, pick up the phone and wish your favorite folks, "Happy Valentine's Day." Spread the love by volunteering at an orphanage, old age home or a soup kitchen. Make someone happy.

Valentine's Day for Singles Being single on Valentine's Day is a bummer. However, there are plus points to being unattached on the day of love. If you do not want to mope around at home, gather up your single friends and set out for a night in town. A fun dinner, loads of conversation, and maybe some dancing, could leave you feeling bubbly again. Revel in your single status.

Anti-Valentine's Day Brigade Then again, Valentine's Day is not for everyone. A quick look around you will reveal two types of people – one, that adores Valentine's Day, and the other one that hates it. If you belong to the Anti-Valentine brigade, cock a snook at the love charlatans with these anti-Valentine's Day sayings. As Jay Leno put it, "Today is Valentine's Day. Or, as men like to call it, extortion day."

Show Off Your Sense of Humor If you are looking to impress, use some Valentine's Day humor. Why limit Valentine's Day to sickly sweet and embarrassingly sappy messages? If you cannot think up funny Valentine's Day quotes, borrow from the greats. The ever-funny George Bernard Shaw wrote, "The perfect love affair is one which is conducted entirely by post."

Lesson for the Day!

But perhaps it is just a matter of karma and lessons. Maybe we have karma to work out with some. Maybe we are only meant to learn or teach even if not aware at the time. If you trust in the universe, a higher power and stop forcing life so to speak maybe things naturally get better at times and maybe hard times are just as equally important. If we let go we can see things a bit clearer. At the very least we find a little bit of peace.

A Big Thank You

The thing with blessings, is that they're impossible to count. Here's a start though: I am thankful for my belief, which has kept me, and keeps me afloat more than anything; I am thankful for my health, because without it life gets really miserable I find; I am thankful for my family, because although I complain often about them, I know that all of us, in our dysfunctional way, do care about each other and try our best, though it doesn't always go smoothly; I am thankful for my friends, for remaining my friends, even though I have nothing to give them but my company; I am thankful for things we consider basics, and take for granted, but so many in the world do not have... and well... not least by any means, the blessing of seeing a smile that is from my life's true pleasures, and for being loved so much, and how my heart feels -- which I repeatedly fail to capture successfully!

Music Is Me

I'm constantly amazed by how much power music has. A good song grips you and bends you to its will. It will pick you up when you are sad, or even make you cry when you need to. It will bring a smile to your face and joy to all those around. It has the power to inspire freedom and unite fighting factions. I could go on and on about it all but really all I want to do is to remind people to open their heart and soul and let the music in, share it with your friends, play that old record or go out and buy that new one. Collect music no matter where it is from or what genre it falls into, give it a go, every type of music has its place and every tune holds some sort of meaning to someone out there. So let it play and lets dances this life away!

There Is No Life Without Change

Living a life without change is not living life at all. Yes, going through life with barely any changes involved is possible, but it probably isn't healthy mentally, and almost impossible since change can happen even when we don't predict it. Many of us tend to avoid change because we feel that we lose a sense of control and stability that we had in our lives before. Sometimes the rate that changes may happen in your life may seem overwhelming, but trust in yourself and know that there is nothing that life throws at you that you can't handle, with a little help from your family, loved ones, friends, and God of course, anything is possible.

Just because life throws change at you, doesn't necessarily mean that a negative outcome is on the way horizon, it just means that life is happening as it naturally does, in seasons. Different seasons yield different harvests, just be sure to sow the most righteous seeds possible whenever you can, so that in the event of any unexpected change, you will be protected and taken care of!

Feelings fade and People change.

Little do we realize when we are in the moments that we cherish deeply that the people we are sharing these great moments with might not be around us for the rest of our lives. It is in our nature to be resistant to change and to want things to stay the same. It is too bad that change is inevitable, and sometimes the feelings that we might have felt for someone or the feelings they might have felt for us may go away.

And sometimes the people who we may think will be in our lives forever become distant memories of our past. Do not fret. Feelings fading, and people changing is a part of life, and if you are growing as a person, not everyone will grow with you. It is important not to forget your past, learn from it, and use this wisdom to choose the people who will surround you in the future!

Parade

Posted by Gaylord Campbell

I’m the parade organizer for the local Thanksgiving Day parade and it’s more than enough work for one person! You wouldn’t believe all the intricacies of a production as large as this one and how much money and people are involved in making it happen. I wanted to take the parade to the next level last year, so I hired an online marketing firm to get us there.

The first thing they did was www.domainnames.com options for us then had us chose an appropriate option. I’m beyond excited to finally get a website up since I’ve been asking for one for nearly ten years now! The site’s going to feature photos of parades past as well as items to look for on this year’s route. It will also allow me to send out communication to the participants in the parade, something I’ve long been lacking. The firm has a lot of other great ideas for how to use the internet to build attendance and support, but I think we’re well on our way!

The Story of Life

Sometimes people come into your life and you know right away that they were meant to be there, to serve some sort of purpose, teach you a lesson, or to help you figure out who you are or who you want to become. You never know who these people may be (possibly your roommate, neighbor, coworker, longlost friend, lover, or even a complete stranger) but when you lock eyes with them, you know at that very moment that they will affect your life in some profound way.

And sometimes things happen to you that may seem horrible, painful, and unfair at first, but in reflection you find that without overcoming those obstacles you would have never realized your potential, strength, willpower, or heart.

Everything happens for a reason. Nothing happens by chance or by means of luck. Illness, injury, love, lost moments of true greatness, and sheer stupidity all occur to test the limits of your soul. Without these small tests, whatever they may be, life would be like a smoothly paved, straight, flat road to nowhere. It would be safe and comfortable, but dull and utterly pointless.

The people you meet who affect your life, and the success and downfalls you experience help to create who you become. Even the bad experiences can be learned from. In fact, they are probably the most poignant and important ones. If someone hurts you, betrays you, or breaks your heart, forgive them, for they have helped you learn about trust and the importance of being cautious when you open your heart. If someone loves you, love them back unconditionally, not only because they love you, but because in a way, they are teaching you to love and how to open your heart and eyes to things..

Make every day count!!! Appreciate every moment and take from those moments everything that you possibly can for you may never be able to experience it again. Talk to people that you have never talked to before, and actually listen. Let yourself fall in love, break free, and set your sights high. Hold your head up because you have every right to. Tell yourself you are a great individual and believe in yourself, for if you don't believe in yourself, it will be hard for others to believe in you. You can make of your life anything you wish. Create your own life then go out and live it with absolutely no regrets.

*MOST IMPORTANTLY!!!* If you LOVE someone tell him or her, for you never know what tomorrow may have in store!!!

I'm Addicted to Chocolate....

It's true... I'm addicted to it, I just can't stop eating chocolate, thinking about chocolate, dreaming about chocolate..... if you say your name is chocolate I'll eat you! or marry you.... lol
When it got to the point of me eating a chocolate bar every single day I understood it was time to stop but then I was told chocolate relieves menstrual cramps ( I have an hormonal porblem so I have terrible excrutiating pain every month).... now that's just the universe telling me I can't give up on chocolate, and who am I to go against the universe???? ;)

Truce between Head and Heart

When too much has built up: little snowflakes of incidents and occurrences have built up to form a cold snowball effect. Too much has been said. Too much has been done. There’s no means of arranging it in a neat chronological order. No index to indicate the chapters. I couldn’t even begin to imagine where to start and I have no idea where I’ll possibly finish. Anthills of feelings were played around. Mountains of emotions swirled in each’s head. The life story of each, you know nothing about. Perhaps their outward appearance, but the pearl inside the shell you know not from a bar of soap. So many things are remembered, but so many forgotten. Missing pieces. Point of views differ – each spectator’s view sitting in the Coliseum is different. You could not, you would not, know the frustration and irritation I felt. The dismaying black hole which has swallowed me if from a completely different universe. A supernova of the happiness I once felt diminished and destroyed – I have no way of remembering the light without the darkness. I don't trust people. I don't trust you.So many things still run through my head and prey on my sleepless nights. No matter how much you insist, how much you desire the knowledge to know, it will not help you in the least. For once, perhaps, my head and “heart” agree - I can’t tell you. You would not understand

Taking Chances

I'm about to risk everything and wager my heart. I'm about to take a chance and be courageous. Please listen and know I'm speaking from my heart.

In the last few months something has changed for me. An awakening of sorts. We've grown beyond the need to impress one another. We don’t hold back the things we did in the beginning. There exists a comfortable place between us where honesty prevails and fear finds no shelter. It brings a sense of freedom I've been missing from my life for so long.

I want this to happen. I want you and I to happen. I'm ready for it. I've done my best to clean out the old hurts and insecurities to make room in my heart and my life for you. I'm not a fool who expects every day to be as exciting as the next, but rather I am someone who knows how to find the uniqueness in each passing day. How to see you each day through new eyes. I appreciate that every new day, in some small way you will wake up a different person. You will have seen something new, experienced something different, and will therefore be changed by it. Just as I have awoken each day to find myself changed by you.

My need for you has grown with each passing day, and so has my need to give of myself to you. It is my hope that you are ready and willing to accept all that I have to give. You deserve all the things your heart longs for. Even though I can't guarantee you everything, I can promise that it'll be my every effort to try. How can I offer anything less to the person who holds within them the makings of all of my hopes and dreams?

Take your time to think about all of this. Know that I am now as honest as I have ever been. Know that I love you.

dont burden someone you love with your heartache

this post is to the people out there in love with someone they cant have - if your soulmate is married to someone else, or in a relationship with someone else, i say, without a doubt, tell him or her how you feel. but tell them once. let them know and then let them be. dont ruin their lives, creating chaos and confusion for them. let them know you love them and then show them by respecting the life they live. if you pursue someone you know cant be with you all youre doing is wanting them, not loving them. true love wants whats best for the person you love. you should let them know how you feel - bec you may be whats best for them. but if you are, theyll know it and theyll come back to you. maybe not right away, but they will. maybe youre not whats best for them at all. maybe acting on their love for you will cause them a lifetime of unending hurt and sorrow. is this what you want for the person you claim to love? please consider this - their unhappiness will ultimately affect you too.

Till The End of Time ------

I love watching your face when we talk, it's like a living work of art which captured my heart. You smile at me so lovingly and all I want is while the passion won't be me satisified until you are in my arms.

You're the dearest thing to my heart and forever it is there you'll stay. If only I could put my arm around your shoulders and feel your soft breath touch my face, I'd wish that this moment would never end. My hand would touch you with such tenderness as our passion heightens with each caress. I think words would never enough to explain or define our heart's need for one another. But we wouldn't need to speak, because the heart and mind knows the truth and that'd all that matter.

I love you with all my heart, with you I'll for ever stay and neither heaven nor earth will seperate us...

Never till the end of time.

Short Story - Love You Not

Boy: Baby, we need to talk.
Girl: Ricardo, what do u mean?
Boy: Something has come up...
Girl: What? What's wrong? Is it bad?
Boy: I don't want to hurt you, baby.
Girl: *Thinks* Oh my God, I hope he doesnt break up with me... I love him so much.

"Erica,

You probably already know that I'm leaving, I knew this would be better if I wrote a letter explaining the truth about how much I care about you. The truth is, is that I never loved you, I hated you so much, you are my bitch and dont you ever forget that. I never cared about you, and never wanted to talk to you, and be around you. You really have no clue how much I hate you. Now that I'm leaving I thought you should know that I hate you, bitch. You never did the
right thing, and you were never there. I didnt think I could hate someone as much as I hate you. And I never want to see you, for the rest of my life, I will never miss kissing you like before, I never want to cuddle up, how we used to. I will not miss you and that's a promise. You never had my love, and I want you to remember that. Bitch, you keep this letter because this may be the last thing you have from me. Fuck, I hate you so much. I will not talk to you soon bitch... Goodbye.
- Ricardo"
[ Erica begins to cry, she throws the paper in tha garbage & crys for hours ]

Girl: I just cant believe this happened.. I thought he loved me.
Friend: Oh, about that. Ricardo left me a message. A few days ago. He told me to tell you to look in your jacket pocket or something...
Girl: Umm.. okay.
[She finds a piece of paper in the jacket,
It says:
"Baby I hope you find this before you read my letter. I knew your dad might read it, so I switched a few words...
Hate = Love
Never = Always
Bitch = Baby
Will not= will
.... I hope you didn't take that seriously because I love you with all my heart, and it was so hard to let you go thats why I wanted you to run away with me... -Ricardo"]
Girl: Oh my God! It's a letter.. Ricardo does love me!!, he must of slipped it into my pocket when he hugged me. I can't believe how stupid I am!!

[ She turns off the t.v. ... 3 days later, she kills herself, because of the fact that Ricardo was dead & she had nothing to live for... ]
... A day after that the phone rings. Nobody answers. It was Ricardo, he called to leave a message. "Its Ricardo, I guess you're not home so, I called to let you know that I'm alive, I missed my flight because I had to see you one last time. So, I hope your not worried. I am staying for good

Easter Celebration

The Easter Celebration With Beautiful Traditional Essence

Easter is one of the central religious feasts in the Christian liturgical year. According to the faith of Christian scripture, Jesus rose from the dead on the third day after his crucifixion. Some of the Christians celebrate this day as the resurrection on easter day or Easter Sunday and also Resurrection Day or Resurrection Sunday, two days after the Good Friday and three days after Maundy Thursday. The day of Easter is a lovable feast, meaning it is not fixed in relation to the civil calendar. This day is connected to the Jewish Passover by much of its symbolism, as well as by its own position in the calendar.

In the year of 2011, the day of easter sunday will fall on April 24, 2011. This day of Easter is a beautiful feast, which means that it does not transpire on the same date every year. On this day Easter is celebrated in both the religious and secular ways by many Christian families all throughout the world. For those of the Christians, Easter is a day of religious services and the gathering of family. On this day the main attraction is the greetings of the day. The easter eggs or the spring eggs are special eggs that are often given to celebrate Easter or springtime. These eggs are a pagan symbol of the rebirth of the life giving planet that is the Earth in celebrations of spring and was adopted by early Christians as a symbol of the resurrection of Jesus. In the oldest tradition this is to be using dyed or painted chicken eggs, but as the modern custom is to substitute chocolate eggs, or plastic eggs filled with confectionery such as jelly beans. These eggs are sometimes hidden, allegedly by the Easter Bunny, for children to find on Easter morning. Otherwise, they are generally put in the decorated basket filled with real or artificial straw to resemble a bird's nest....

Anatomy of Friendship

Anatomy of Friendship
by Author Unknown

My mother used to ask me what is the most important part of the body. Through the years I would take a guess at what I thought was the correct answer. When I was younger, I thought sound was very important to us as humans, so I said, "My ears, Mommy."

She said, "No. Many people are deaf. But you keep thinking about it and I will ask you again soon."

Several years passed before she asked me again. Since making my first attempt, I had contemplated the correct answer. So this time I told her, "Mommy, sight is very important to everybody, so it must be our eyes."

She looked at me and told me, "You are learning fast, but the answer is not correct because there are many people who are blind."

Stumped again, I continued my quest for knowledge and over the years, Mother asked me a couple more times and always her answer was, "No. But you are getting smarter every year, my child."

Then last year, my grandpa died. Everybody was hurt. Everybody was crying. Even my father cried. I remember that especially because it was only the second time I saw him cry. My Mom looked at me when it was our turn to say our final goodbye to Grandpa. She asked me, "Do you know the most important body part yet, my dear?"

I was shocked when she asked me this now. I always thought this was a game between her and me. She saw the confusion on my face and told me, "This question is very important. It shows that you have really lived in our life. For every body part you gave me in the past, I have told you were wrong and I have given you an example why. But today is the day you need to learn this important lesson."

She looked down at me as only a mother can. I saw her eyes well up with tears. She said, "My dear, the most important body part is your shoulder."

I asked, "Is it because it holds up my head?"

She replied, "No, it is because it can hold the head of a friend or a loved one when they cry. Everybody needs a shoulder to cry on sometime in life, my dear. I only hope that you have enough love and friends that you will always have a shoulder to cry on when you need it."

Best April Fools' Day Jokes in History

Check out some of the greatest hoaxes of all time.

April 1 is like Christmas for jokesters. Some carefully plan elaborate schemes, while others go for the more spontaneous prank. There are families who celebrate April Fools' Day by having a "backwards day," where they eat dinner for breakfast and breakfast for dinner, or they wear items of clothing backwards. Some play jokes on one another, like setting all the clocks in the house an hour early or making fauxberry pie for dinner.

Large-scale jokes take some time and effort to pull off, but they can be very effective at tricking large groups of people. Here are a couple of hoaxes that are known as the best April Fools' Day tricks in history:

•The Spaghetti Harvest – On April 1, 1957, the BBC announced on a popular news show that Swiss farmers were enjoying a bumper crop of spaghetti thanks to the annihilation of the spaghetti weevil. Women were shown plucking the spaghetti from trees and laying the strands out to dry. Many viewers called the station to find out how they could grow their own spaghetti tree. BBC phone operators eventually came up with a standard answer: "Place a sprig of spaghetti in a tin of tomato sauce and hope for the best."

•Taco Liberty Bell – Taco Bell announced on April 1, 1996, that it had purchased the Liberty Bell. They claimed they were renaming it the "Taco Liberty Bell" and that the bell would spend part of the year in Philadelphia and part of the year at the Taco Bell Headquarters in Irvine. Hundreds of outraged citizens called the National Historic Park in Philadelphia to express their anger. Taco Bell later released a statement alerting the public that it was a joke.

•Metric Time – An Australian news show on April 1, 1975, announced that it would be converting to metric time. They explained that this would mean there would be 100 seconds to the minute, 100 minutes to the hour, and 20-hour days. They further reported that seconds would become millidays, minutes become centidays, and hours become decidays. An interview with the Deputy Premier at the time made the story all the more convincing.

•April Fools’ Bomb – On April 1, 1915, during the middle of World War I, a French plane flew over a German camp and dropped what appeared to be a large bomb. Soldiers on the ground scattered, but when no explosion followed they discovered the “bomb” was a football with a note saying, “April Fool!"

•On March 31, 1940, Philadelphia’s Franklin Institute issued a press release saying that the world would end at 3 p.m. Eastern Standard Time the next day. The release was picked up by radio station KYW, which broadcast the message. Panicked callers contacted the radio station and the Franklin Institute. It turns out the Institute's press agent had written the fake release intending to use it to publicize an April 1 lecture titled "How Will the World End?" He was dismissed from his duties.

Spring Break Is Closer Than You Think

Are you ready to feel the sand between your toes, relax in the shade along our emerald coastline or bask in the sunlight reflecting off our crystal clear beaches?

It’s almost that time of year we all look forward to—Spring Break! When the weather is warm and we get a break from our daily lives to enjoy time with friends and family.

Make this year's spring break memorable by having fun and helping yourself, your friends, and others stay safe and healthy.

Here are some Spring Break Health and Safety Tips.

Limit alcohol. If drinking alcohol is part of your break, remember that it can impair your judgment and actions. Alcohol-related motor vehicle crashes kill someone every 31 minutes and nonfatally injure someone every two minutes. Don't drink and drive. There are plenty of non-alcoholic alternatives.

Be active. You've probably been sitting most of the year working at the computer, studying, or in class. During the break, take the opportunity to start a fitness program. Do a variety of fun activities like walking, dancing, playing volleyball, swimming, and more. It doesn't need to be hard to be beneficial. Avoid injury by starting any new activity slowly. Be active for at least 2½ hours a week. Include activities that raise your breathing and heart rates and that strengthen your muscles.

Plan a successful trip.If you are going on a trip, be prepared. Are vaccinations required? Are there special food, destination, or other things you need to consider ahead of time? If you are taking medications, do you have enough for the trip? Know what's happening en route or at your travel destination.

Protect yourself.Love is all around, and so are sexually transmitted diseases. The only 100% sure way to prevent sexually transmitted diseases and unintended pregnancy is by not having sex. If you choose to have sex, using latex condoms and having a monogamous, uninfected partner may help lower your risk. Women are more likely to be victims of sexual violence than men. Women who experience both sexual and physical abuse are significantly more likely to have sexually transmitted diseases. Take precautions and avoid situations or persons that may place you at risk for harm.

Watch your step. There may be temptations on your break that involve different or high-risk activity. Think twice before putting yourself at risk for injury. Be sure to use appropriate safety gear before venturing out, such as seat belts, life vests, or knee pads. Remember that unintentional injuries kill more Americans in their first three decades of life than any other cause of death. In fact, injuries (both unintentional and those caused by acts of violence) are among the top ten killers for Americans of all ages.

Know the ropes. When swimming and boating, know what's expected and what you can do to prevent injury or death for yourself and others. Know how to swim. Wear your life jacket while boating. Avoid alcoholic beverages while boating. Complete a boating education course. Participate in the vessel safety check program.

Protect yourself from the sun. After a cold winter, it's tempting to stay in the hot sun all day. Although getting a little sun can have some benefits, excessive and unprotected sun exposure can result in premature aging, changes in skin texture, and skin cancer. Always wear sunscreen with at least SPF 15. For eye protection, wear wraparound sunglasses that provide 100 percent UV ray protection.

Eat healthy.Having fun takes energy and fuel. Be sure to eat a variety of foods, including plenty of vegetables, fruits, and whole grain products. Also include low-fat dairy products, lean meats, poultry, fish, and legumes. Drink lots of water and go easy on the salt, sugar, alcohol, and saturated fat. Good nutrition should be part of an overall healthy lifestyle, including regular physical activity, not smoking, and stress management.

Be smoke-free.Avoid smoking and secondhand smoke. Just 20 minutes after smoking that last cigarette, your body begins a series of positive changes that continue for years. Quitting is one of the best things you can do for yourself and others.

I Am Glad School Has Started Again

I Am Glad School Has Started Again
Thanks to Roman May

All right, I will admit it. I am glad school has started again, and I now have some time to myself again. Oh, I don't mean that I don't like having the kids here, I just need a little space sometimes for me. It seemed like that all I did over the holiday was take care of them.

Now don't get onto me for that. I do need some down time so that I can get my brain working again like it should. I forgot to set the home security alarm (Adt Security monitoring)most of the time the kids were here during the break. That should never happen again because I want them to be safe.

We did take a nice trip to Grandmas during December, and she came here for Christmas and that was a real treat for us all. I want to do that again next year, because she lives in Orlando and the kids went to Disney World for the first time. It was great.
After we got back home we went shopping downtown at some of the thrift stores and found some great buys on some nearly new clothes for the kids. I even found something for me as well. Now we can all go out looking good once again. I can't wait for Spring Break to have them home again.
